Exploring Troja Château

Miss Rona is finally retiring after a long and prosperous career in her industry, I just hope she doesn’t make a comeback though, we don’t need ya back, Rona, stay there! All jokes aside, it feels amazing that life is somehow back to a new normal as restrictions are being eased and people now have the chance to enjoy life almost at the same level as we had it before March 2020.

Prague is almost 80% open to tourists (who are either vaccinated or can provide a negative test), thus all tourists attractions are now open with some restrictions in place. This weekend I decided to discover more of Prague and thus I spent an amazing day at Troja Château – Prague City Gallery, located only a few minutes away from my little house.

Troja Château is one of the most beautiful Baroque monuments that is located in the immediate vicinity of the Prague Zoo and it is surrounded by a gorgeous fancy French garden where I did get lost a few times, but I still enjoyed the cute labyrinths. In the chateau’s interior you can admire the decorative frescos and exhibitions prepared by the Prague City Gallery. Concerts are also held on the chateau grounds.

What I found fascinating about this place are the amazing statues that surround every corner of it, you feel like you can stare at them hours and it’s just the perfect place to relax on a Sunday evening. I’m shocked that I didn’t even consider visiting this place when I was in Prague back in 2018, but thankfully now I did and you should do it as well as this place is definitely one of the top 10 not so popular places in Prague that you need to see.
